Hanoi is the capital and is one the biggest economic, cultural, and politic centers of Vietnam. In 2010, it celebrated its 1000 year-old birth day. As one of the oldest cities in the world, Hanoi have many great historical tourism destinations such as 36 Old Quarters, Sword Lake, or One Pillar Pagoda, and is very famous for its large number of historical museums. More than that, Hanoi is also known as one of most original places of Vietnamese Cuisine.
Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon)
When Hanoi is in the north of Vietnam, Hochiminh City locates in the south and is the biggest city in Vietnam. The city lay-out looks very similarly to Hanoi, but it is only more than 300 years old. The variety of Hochiminh City’s food is incredibly large, and of course, its street food tastes exceptionally
Da Nang city
Da Nang marks the halfway point between the capital in the north, Hanoi, and Ho Chi Minh City in the south. It’s the largest city in central Vietnam. Apart from some shopping highlights and historical sights, the main reason for most travellers staying here is its clean and beautiful beaches. Different from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang is laid-back and friendly, maybe because everyone you meet has just finished an amazing meal. Culinary tours are a hugely popular way to experience literal local flavor.
Like Danang, Hue is another city in the central Vietnam. What makes it attractive to the tourist is that it has the palaces all the way from the Nguyen Dynasty, which was the last dynasty of Vietnam feudalism, so there are endless must-see historic sites in Hue. Besides its reputation of historical sites, Hue is really well known for its tours on Perfume river and its different types of Vietnamese rice cake.
Halong bay was named one of the seven natural world wonders in 2011. Travelers visits Halong Bay for an up-close at its thousand of natural lime stones, rock formation, and its amazing caves. Tourists also can spend days on the ocean if they decide to get on one of the cruising tours. Moreover, Halong Bay is very famous for its seafood cuisine. What is better than have fresh seafood on the beach with breezy winds from the ocean.
Nha Trang City
